Wavelengths

All the women in my office told me to go to Wavelengths, and that was the best advice I ever got. My hair dresser was a good listener and had good ideas and was very funny. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. My haircut looks great and Ive been complimented by everyone. Even a woman in Target approached me to ask who cut it, and she told me that I was the second person she asked who told her to go to Wavelengths. I have been living in Durham for 6 years and this is the first haircut I have really been happy with. I get about 3 haircuts a year and finally, I dont need to worry about where to next! I wish I found this salon a long time ago.

Pros: skilled staff, very nice too

Cons: can't think of any!

I almost don't want to post this because I don't want her to get any more booked up... but Kate Guenther is the best stylist I've ever had. She's awesome with color, cut, and advice. She's super nice, personable, and extremely considerate. I would recommend her to anyone. This salon occasionally sends a few stylists to NYC to learn new techniques and then brings those skills back to teach the rest of the stylists there. They are very forward thinking and incorporate the new with the traditional.

Pros: Kate

Cons: she is starting to book up further in advance!!

This is a fantastic hair salon!! I have seen a few different stylists here, usually because I call at the last minute or walk in, and I have had a wonderful experience every time! All the hairdressers here seem very up to date on trends, and they have great communication skills as well. I have also gotten my eyebrows done here, and that woman is wonderful also. Everyone here is really nice and welcoming, I never get negative vibes in this place. I will definately continue to visit this salon, and so will my friends. Oh yeah, they are priced WAY better than Chapel Hill and Raleigh salons, and their staff is just as talented, if not better.

Pros: everything. they're even open late

Cons: not every stylist will take a credit card. you should ask on the phone before you come in.

I always ask for Kate Gunther to cut my hair, and I am blown away every time. I don't know what she does different, But my hair has been amazing and easy since I found Kate. I get compliments all the time, from friends, coworkers, and strangers. I even get compliments weeks after she's done my hair. Many of my friends and neighbors see Kate as well, and we all highly reccomend her.

I went to Alesha to have my hair and makeup done for a wedding. She listened to what I thought I wanted and then came up with some very creative ideas. My hair was fabulous and I received numerous compliments! As if that wasnt enough, she did my make up perfectly. Not too gaudy and "made up" like at other places. I will definitely go to her again!

Anne gave me the best haircut I've ever had in 36 years! I have had long, thick, wavy hair all my life and wanted to try something different. With a few pictures and a lot of conversation, Anne gave me the perfect cut for my hair, my face and my lifestyle. She also talked about how to style it and did not force any products on me. She is a lot of fun to chat with too! Ginny

Ask for Rachida! She does the best manicures and pedicures I've found in the Chapel Hill/Durham area. My nails and toes always look great when I leave. I also look forward to being in the salon. Very hip feel, not at all stuffy. Friendly receptionist. Ask her about her horse! Always free parking in the lot across the street.

I have been a client of Wavelengths since I moved here 2 years ago. It is so much fun to walk into this salon, almost every time there are improvements or new product lines. I feel very confident that I will always get what I want and purchase quality products that were recommended for what I need. The staff is very proffesional, but also fun and friendly. If youre a color addict, youve got to see Kate. Shes always got great ideas and really knows what shes working with.

Pros: upbeat , comfortable, talented

Cons: closed mondays

I recently got my hair cut and colored by Crystal. I also got my eyebrows done by Rachida. Both ladies did a fabulous job. I will continue to go to Wavelenghts for all my future services.

Pros: knowledgeable, professionalism, friendliness

Cons: parking
