Dr. Makely is the best dentist I have ever been to. He and his staff are wonderful and congenial. He is a very honest dentist and explains each step of the process he is doing. I cannot say enough about this dentist and his practice. I have been a patient of his for 4 years and my sister has been going to him for 15 years. He came highly recommended to me. I went to him originally for a second opinion and have been going to him ever since.

I've always had a problem with dentists. In the past 3 years of living in Raleigh, I have been to 4 different dentists. I'll stop at number 4, thanks. After getting a really overpriced quote from another dentist, I went to Dr. Makely upon the recommendation of 4 different people. He must be good if so many people like him! I got a root canal in his office and I won't say I enjoyed it. That would make me a massochist, but it wasn't a bad dental experience...for once. Dr. Makely was very gentle, explained everything he was doing step by step, had a good raport and even had pretty decent music playing over the speaker system. I'm going back again this Monday to get some fillings done. Also, he doesn't break the bank. If you are looking for a dentist, try Dr. Makely!
Pros: Gentle, explains in detail, friendly, convenient location, affordable
Cons: It's still dentistry. You have to file your own claims for dental insurance.
