Career Pro is a top notch career services provider whether you want very specific services to advance your career or you are simply looking for a job. They provide the same kind of services in outplacement for companies who are letting people go. I had them work with me on: 1. Interview Skills Training (they utilized video and real-time responses so I could improve). Also I found the interview training a great confidence builder in all conversations I have had with clients and more. It went beyond just answering behavioral questions. 2. Personal Bios and Resumes (they wrote with my input specialized letters, thank you letters and more). I now have utilized the bios for company and also job search prospects. 3. In-depth research using Career Search and D&B based research. 4. Career Coaching (mostly I had to develop a blueprint for what I want and expect from my career path which is more than I was ever going to get from my bosses; that doesn't mean I have had any bad bosses but I just want more than their counseling) There is more but if you want personalized services in career coaching this is what you need. If you are kind of doing your own job search they are good too. But I wanted to have partnered with them to give me an edge over competition from event planning, marketing and administrative areas. It's intense. So I probably needed more than just a better resume even though my resume that they collaborated with me on is awesome. Also I found that they have and are willing to go beyond their contract to help me, be available and more. I am picky about customer service. No doubt if I ever had an issue or concern I would expect them to take care of me as an individual. If you don't want to do some self examination and are looking for a quick fix they have some good posting services and more but that's not what I wanted or expected. Excellent company and more than I expected.

Pros: Very comprehensive career services, very personal and willing to go the extra mile on everything

Cons: I would like them to be in RTP; they should open other offices

"As a multi-year medical industry sales leader I wanted clear, no nonsense and electrifying marketing tools for my next career move. Career Pro Inc. delivered. They also helped clarify critical questions about my search tactics as I re-enter one of the most competitive spaces possible. With my complicated background and early military foundation the developed outstanding resumes and other surgical if you will, marketing tools for my job search. Already I am pleased with my investment, the products received and the savvy advice. They have also been willing to go the extra mile in providing me critical, timely advice. I recommend them for any six figure and above or very serious jobseeker. Way to go!"

I was very impressed at how they were able to take my personal information and mold their techniques to fit my lifestyle and benefit. I felt comfortable with John and he encouraged me that the work I had done previously was outstanding, and broaden my ideas on how I can increase my potential in my resume. I had incredible response in terms of contact, and was always able to reach Career Pro at most times of the day, even making themselves available spur of the moment. They did a great job at dissecting my resume and I would refer them to anyone that I could! The turn around on my resume and amazing detail on improvements have helped me substantially in the work force! Great people, great atmosphere and great job done!

Here are some of the finer points with Career Pro Inc. that helped me: 1. I worked with them 10 years ago. 2. They speak positively about other outplacement companies and career coaches. 3. They are published. 4. They are active in the Triangle community. 5. I have referred people to them. 6. They provide excellent products and services for their clients. 7. They work with you until you are totally satisfied. 8. They also help you to build your career brand (Linked In and more) and are available throughout your career. 9. They go beyond their contract to help you. 10. They deliver. Knowing that they have been in business for many years and are highly personalized helped me trust them again. I am glad I did.

Pros: Lots of services and products

Cons: They will coach you but not push you - that's actually a good thing; I wish they had more locations

Career Pro Inc. proactively assisted me with resume writing, job search research, interview video training and worked with me through many ups and downs during my search. I took a long time to secure the position I wanted but when I did it was the right one. They loaded me down with research and answered every question I had along the way. They assisted me and never pushed me to take something so that they had less work to do. I probably wore them out but am happy I did. I recommend them if your serious about your career path. They also offered to coach or counsel me after I received my job offer to ensure I had a great start. Thanks. I recommend them.

Career Pro's services they provided was well worth my money invested. I was given quality, professional documents that stood out from other applicants, even got an interview for a position that I was not remotely qualified for because the company was so impressed with the resume and cover letter. I studied and followed their advice step by step and learned how to correctly promote my self to prospective companies, plan and prepare for interviews, and negotiate job offers. I would recommend their services with confidence to any of my friends and colleagues knowingly full well if they followed their advise and put forth a concise effort into their job search, they would achieve the results they are looking for. However, if you are lazy, not willing to put their plans and guidance into action, or make a concise effort to make yourself presentable and marketable to potential employers, don't waste your time or theirs.

I had several college friends use their services with success so I decided to call and set a time to sit down with John and discuss what I needed. We started discussing that I needed to update my resume to reflect my current job and focus on a few aspects of my experience that would be needed for the position in which I was applying. I noticed that John was taking notes. It did not take long to discuss the details of the services I needed. Come to find out what he was writing down were the details of how much he was going to charge me which was $400 and pay up front. I thought that was a bit high but my friends said he will do a good job and I had limited time. I told John I had a short amount of time to get my resume updated and he said he could get it done, no problem. Three days before I needed the resume update finished I received an email from Careerpro and after I read the new additions to my resume I could not believe the errors and spelling mistakes and on top of that they did not focus on the job aspects I requested. I called and advised John of the issue and he got defensive and was not at all apologetic. I went to his office the day before I needed this finished and it was not even close to being what I had requested much less paid for. I found out that John was not updating the resume at all, it was his associate who had never spoken or met with me to know what I really needed on the resume. I stayed there for over an hour helping add information to the resume to get it finished. I had to get it done because of time constraints so I had no choice. I took my resume to a college friend that afternoon who majored in English and he made further changes for no money at all. My friends who used their services in the past were shocked at the price I was charged for the work that was actually done and my whole experience. Yes I am a real customer. Funny how 3 positive reviews come so quick after a negative review. Self promoting I guess.

Pros: John will meet with you for free after that open your wallet.

Cons: Not personal, overpriced for the service I did not receive..

Response from this business

Our customer service policy means that we respond to any client who has a concern. We happily accept and attempt to resolve any concern - legitimate or not. This client admits that they had several college friends who used our services and recommended us. We do not recognize this person and this person never complained to us. But they can run us up on City Search with 0 accoutability. That's wrong. Besides, I don't even know if this is a real client. If they are they demanded a draft of new materials, received it three days before they needed it, asked for and received in house editing and advice. The insinuation that during a note-taking session I also wrote down prices seems so sinister here. Really? FYI - this person has two reviews on City Search. They also rip a restaurant two weeks ago. We have been in business 15 years and honor all contracts and commitments and would go the extra mile for any legitimate and sometimes not legitimate complaint.

Career Pro Inc. is my “lucky charm” when it comes to landing the job I’m going after. I have used their services since 1992 and I have always gotten the job. Their resume services are extremely professional and polished. They take the extra time to really get to know you and what you are made of and then they eloquently convey this on your resume. It was a no brainer that they raised the bar and expanded in the recruiting and outplacement business. They absolutely have your best interest in mind and go the extra mile for you to get any job you are going after. It is powerful to have a local recruiter and advocate who is networked in with the companies in our area. Career Pro Inc. is a “powerhouse” when it comes to recruiting, outplacement and resume design programs. Sincerely, L.A.W ( a very satisfied client)

Pros: Complete Services in Career Transition, Resumes and Outplacement - used them since 1992!

Cons: If I had known about their network I would have stayed in touch with them more often - no negatives

In transitioning out of the military from North Carolina (Fort Bragg) I searched Yahoo and other sites and found Career Pro Inc. After traveling to Raleigh, NC and their offices, I hired them to help me transition my military background and some work outside of my work in the military into a very refined new resume and other specialized letters. Over time Career Pro supported me and my wife through excellent interview coaching and research/advice. About a year ago I started my search. I found positions across the nation. The major company that I am working for now singeled out my resume and professional correspondence as one of the singular factors in me being interviewed. Since then I have used the documents and approaches taught to me by Career Pro to receive internal promotional offers at the high six figures. In fact, I obtained some additional schooling from a nationally accredited school who has also utilized my resume as the standard to which other graduating students should aspire. Thanks so much. Thanks also for offering the support you have for me and my career as it progresses. I can't recommend them enough for anyone - military, executives, students.

Pros: Very Professional and Personlized Service, Serious Career and Outplacement Services for Military and Civilian

Cons: It took awhile to decide online because I didn't know this level of service existed - they should do more PR or something
