I went to Amedeo's last week. Our meal was perfect. We had a pizza called the momma d's pizza. It was incredible !!!! The blue cheese dressing is homeade. The dressing was so good that we bought some to take home. I love the rustic look. Raleigh and Cary have way too many chains. you gotta visit this place. It is an old school restaurant. Will go back.

Having come to Raleigh, we were looking for a place with group dining, one of our friends from NC State recommended Amedeo’s so we tried it before we took 25+ people for a Sunday dinner. We were greeted by waitress, who took our drink orders pleasantly. We had been given a bowl of hot bread which tasted very well, but was ruined by the fake butter spread they give you. We ordered a Hot Antipasto appetizer when our drinks arrived and also place our orders for entrée’s at the same time. When our appetizer arrived, it was severely overcooked, the sausage was burnt beyond belief, it was obvious that it stayed in the oven far to long. What was worse was the fact that our entrée’s arrived just after the appetizer was set on the table. So the timing was terrible and no one touched the Antipasto at all. We ordered dinners, a Lasagna, Manicotti and 2 orders of Chicken Parmigiana. The meals arrived very hot, again right out of the oven, but they came in waves. We received two orders first and then the remaining orders about 10 minutes later. The four of us, hardly eat our meals, as the look and taste was just not that enjoyable The Lasagna was all cheese no pasta and burnt to a crisp on the top. The chicken dinners had the same problem, cooked less this time. But the dish was so watery the breading all came off in the dish and made a mess trying to eat. The Manicotti was the only plate that appeared to be cooked and prepared. When we got the check they never asked why we didn't eat anything, they just took it away from teh table, I paid the check and we left; No thanks you - come again, no goodbye. We just walked out with the majority of our meal still on the table and $100 in their cash register. We had 1 appetizer, 4 dinners and 4 cokes, no deserts, no alcohol and basically no food as well. I would stay away from this place, they may have been a nice restaurant once, but they have forget or just don’t care to be a good place. Find something else for dinner.

Pros: NC State Theme

Cons: Over cooked food, bad timing of meals, poor quality

What happened to that place? It's a dump. Everyone that works there looked like they had no clue what they were doing. I had heard how terrible it had gotten but was willing to give it another shot and now I understand why they would go bankrupt. I remember going in there and talking to the owner a few times and he was a great guy, not sure where they found the new management but I don't see that place lasting. The food was cold and the service was awful. I asked for a manager and the server went to get some lady that proceeded to laugh and looked like she had a 12 yr olds clothes on. We just got up and left thinking what was the point. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone!!

Pros: there are none

Cons: everything

I should have taken a clue from the nearby tables, everyone had pizza. One of my party had meat ravioli, and I had lasagna. I don't know what to say other than the food was just terrible. The sauce tasted too much like tomato paste, the meat ravioli very plain. The lasagna looked to be assembled and baked in a dish. I've never had good lasagna out where they just put it together, bake it and serve it (the good lasagna comes from places like Maggiano's where they cut a piece of lasagna that was made earlier, where the flavors can gel and give a great piece). The pizza certainly looked good, I wish I had ordered it.

Pros: Could get a seat on a Saturday night

Cons: Terrible, overpriced food

Love the Food. Best pizza in town! Everytime that my family and I go we are treated with best service ever! The owner always stops by to say hello, and treats my two little boys as if they were his own. You always feel as if you are family when you are there! The price of the food is on point for the quality and quanity of the food!

Pros: Service, parking

Cons: cant say anyting bad about it at all

I've been to Amedeo's on several occasion and I must say this resturant has it all. If you just want to pop in and watch the game you can on one of their large flat screen T.V's in the NCSU themed bar. The wings are excellent whether you order the authentic buffalo or the teriyaki they are bothy great! And I know good wings! You can also have a nice romantic dinner for two or bring out the whole family for a great Italian meal. The atmosphere in the dining room is very cozy and warm, especially if you sit by the double sided stone fireplace. The pizza speaks for itself, simply the best I've had in Raliegh. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. My first time in the owner came to our table to welcome us and seemed sincere in his concern that we were having a pleasant experience. You really feel like you are in a family owned and run resturant. The prices are reasonable especially for the quality of the food. I would recomend Amedeo's North to anyone. And they do have complimentary bread with your meal.

Pros: Food and hospitality

Cons: Small dining area

We have gone to this restaurant 3 times. The italian dishes were awful and overpriced. The pizza was great! and that is why we went back. The greek salad would be good but 1- it is a rip off at $10 and 2- they don't even have greek dressing-- what's the point? we didn't feel like family when 2 of the times we went at or before 830 and 3/4 of the chairs were on the tables and they were sweeping up--the stares made us feel like we were intruding- they close at 930! They also swept up right next to our table and then ran the vacuum as we ate- no so friendly if you ask us! Overall we think it is way overpriced but if you go stick with the pizza.

Pros: parking

Cons: being treated as an inconvenience by staff

I can't remember every going to an Italian restaurant where bread and salad were not part of your pasta entree. You have to pay $4-5 for bread and order salads at an additional expense. Our waiter was so soft spoken we could not understand what he was saying, we were not advised of any specials and the occupants of the tables froze to death with the gusts of cold air each time the front door was opened. Two tables sitting next to us actually had to eat with their coats on! When we mentioned we were freezing, we were not offered another table, although there were empty tables available. The food was average, although my husband said the lasagna was very good. Even if the food is good, the overall extra costs for salad and bread and the carless attention by staff is not worth it. There are many other Italian restaurants in the area that would be a better choice.

Pros: parking

Cons: pay extra for bread and salad, cold and drafty, wait staff not attentive, food is fair
