Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre is a lovely place to go & have fun. It is the perfect place to go for any age group, any type of family, (they have a park area for kids in front of the screen), also they are pet friendly. It is truly inexpensive to see a movie & the consessions are also inexpensive and they have some great food! My husband, Myself, & our 2 Golden Retriever's have visited recently and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the fact that we saw 2 movies for the price of only just $5 per adult! Who can beat that!!! When we arrived, the man who gave us our tickets even gave us doggie treats for our pups (which they enjoyed!) They also gave us 1/2 admission tickets for the next time we come since it was our 1st time there. We will definitely be going back there real soon!
Pros: everything's great!
Cons: nothing bad to say other than.. they do get pretty busy, so get there early to get a good spot!

This 57 year old novelty has been newly renovated and is as it was when I was a child, circa 1965. A time when you could load up the kids, blankets, lawn chairs and the family dog in the back of the pick-up and go to the movies. The new owner, Jim, tells me that "Max" will get a free doggie biscuit too! They have a wonderful play area for kids to run, swings for swinging, a play house for kids to play in before the movie and Big Lawn Swings for Moms or Dads to comfortably sit nearby to supervise. We first visited during the long summer break. Now my 8 year old son and I have a standing "date" every Friday night. Dad comes along as his schedule allows. I feel perfectly safe there and will let my son go to the concession stand alone. I am usually a very nervous Mom about letting him fly solo, but not here. The staff is visible and seem to really enjoy children. I do support their efforts by purchasing drinks, popcorn and Milk duds. I'm ashamed to say, my son had never had Milk duds before we started going to the Outdoor Theatre. What a joy to have seen him devour his first mouthful! Please, please support this wonderful place for Family Fun and Entertainment. Our area is sorely lacking in these type adventures for the family. I love it and encourage everyone to visit. You might want to bring a little extra cash for all those Milk duds you'll be eating. Thank you for the opportunity to post. Ms Trap

The drive-in theater on Raleigh road has re-opened and the changes are astounding. I went last year and the place had really been run into the ground but the new owners have really done a lot of work to the place. The best part is the price. $5 per Grown up and kids 12 and under are free! For this you get 2 movies too! They have completly renovated the concession stand and have put in a playground. They also have 3 or 4 swinging seats for us grown ups too. For the money you can't beat it. If you are looking for something to do I suggest that you check out the Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater in Henderson.
Pros: Movies under the stars. Great food prices. Very low admission
Cons: Need more bathrooms, More lighting during the movie would be helpful for trips to the snack bar.
