How excited we were when my daughter received an invitation to debut at the 2008 State Deb Ball. Then I realized how little I knew about what my daughter considered to be THE most important thing - her gown. Having never done this before I immediately contacted several friends whose daughters had been Debs. I received a great number of recommendations for Enchanting Moments, so I made an appointment and we headed for Fuquay-Varina. WOW We could not have imagined a better experience. All my fears of making a mistake concerning this milestone in my daughter's life, quickly disappeared. The level of knowledge and professionalism along with some gentle guidance left no doubt in our minds that our selections for my daughters gown , party dresses and accessories were perfect. But the most wonderful part was that we had fun. Our consultant, Lisa, was a jewel, making great suggestions and still giving us plenty of Mother /Daughter time as we nedded. Vada, our seamstress, left no doubt in our minds that everything would fit perfectly. We have an appointment during an upcoming Trunk Show (new experience for me) to find a gown and cocktail things for myself. I'm certainly excited about my turn. I know it will be just as wonderful as our first visit.

This store was recommended to me over and over after I became engaged. From the very first phone call I was impressed. The consultant, Lisa, ask me questions in order to plan my appointment. The gowns are not hung out in the open but she continued to pull gowns based on my likes and dislikes. I was able to order a customized gown and stay within my price range! Very knowledgeable staff. They also have a great selection of mother of the bride dresses and my mom was able to find a dress that she is excited to wear. This store has been in business for a long time and they certainly know how to help a bride. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Pros: Great staff that really listens, custom gowns, attention to detail

Cons: a bit of a drive but worth it

this place is compeltely ridiculous. my step mom went in enchanting moments in fuquay and picked out a dress that she thought was beautiful Tried it on and with help from an associate she was told that the dress was absolutely gorgeous when the clerk knew good and well it looked really bad on her and you would think they wouldnt lie. from there she went to put more stress on my step mom and told her that she needed to buy a dress right away. my step mom. being the kind of bride thats just like every other bride out there. think that the sale associate knows everything and listens to her. and was presured into buying the dress. coming home all excited was totally suprising to the family but after seeing the photo of her in the dress we lead to tell her the truth about the dress it looked really bad. in all honesty. Crying and all upset about the outcome and demolishment of what the clerk had told her, she then calls the store asking if she could please get her money back or look at another dress. and the store clerk leads to tell her that she cant get her money back. from there the clerk said that she couldnt get her money back because they had altered it [but they only put pins in it] and it could not be returned. the clerk then said that she could come in and look at the other dresses so she set up an appointment for the following monday. On that monday my step mom went in and looked at the dress again and totally decided that she didnt like it and then the clerk said she couldnt look at the dresses or get her money back. even after the clerk had already said that she could look at the other dresses. we now my step mom that she shouldnt have bought the dress but should the clerk really have lied to her face and said it was pretty when she knew it wasnt. it is actually a law that they have to take it back within the 1st 48 hours and my step mom called within 38. Why would such a good wedding dress place that is sopose to make dreams come true want a bride unhappy??

Pros: georgeous dresses if you have the perfect 0 size body

Cons: sales people lie just to sale a dress, they dont care what the dress looks like on you

I had a wonderful experience at Enchanting Moments. The gowns I tried on were fabulous and I enjoyed working with the staff. While some might not believe that a shop full of couture gowns could actually exist in Fuquay, you should definitely make an appointment and give it a try before you make any sort of conclusions. A FEW TIPS FOR THE SHOP OWNERS: The shop, while in a historic part of the old Fuquay area, could be in a better location. The lackluster exterior is very decieving and quite honestly, it really doesn't exemplify the lovely bridal gowns that are inside. It is disappointing that brides are not able to freely view the gowns and select ones to try on. They must rely on the staff to select things that they might like. I can understand this method helps protect the integrity of the gowns, but what the staff has to realize is that sometimes brides don't know what they want. Or, a bride has something in mind but if they see something else while perusing stock, they may fall in love with something else. It would be wonderful if they would display all of their gowns so that brides could choose. I can see how they might lose some sales simply because a bride never had the chance to see their "dream gown." Don't let these things hinder you from visiting Enchanting Moments. It's worth your time - believe me.

Pros: Exquisite Garments, Good Parking, Pleasant Staff

Cons: Lackluster Location, Do Not Allow Full Perusal Of Inventory

my experience was mediocre. the shop is really hard to find, and if you're late for your appointment because you couldn't find it, the staff is none too pleased. even though they don't answer the phone when you call from the road to get directions. you do get personal one-on-one service and they have a large selection of unique gowns. overall though, nothing about it wow-ed me.

Pros: personal service

Cons: hard to find, long drive

Start to finish Enchanting Moments was a great experience. I had read some of the reviews on this site and almost didn't shop here. I am so glad that I went to check it out for myself. My appointment was with Debbie, who is the buyer, and she found me a gown that could be ordered exactly like I wanted it and she kept it in my price range. I also bought my accessories, my bridesmaids, a rehearsal dress and my mom and mother in law found their dresses there. Vada did the alterations and all the dresses looked amazing. Alterations do cost extra but the cost is discussed on your first fitting appointment. The staff always knew my name and were very helpful. I did have to leave messages to contact them, but they always called back by the end of the day. I guess every store gets mixed reviews but I would suggest checking this store out...I am extremely glad that I did!

I couldn't of asked for better service at Enchanting Moments - from the moment I made my appointment to the alterations. Everyone was so nice and friendly and made me feel special. I felt like a princess :) I would recommend Enchanting Moments to everyone!! It's well worth the drive to Fuquay Varina to find your perfect gown! I couldn't be happier with my wedding dress.

What a wonderful time! I called for an appointment with Enchanting Moments and was greeted by a consultant that talked to me about everything I had envisioned about my wedding day. From our conversation she was able to help me find the most beautiful dress that was flattering to me as well as my budget. But this quality service didn't stop there. I was then scheduled for alterations and was even more overwhelmed by the knowledge of their alterations department. This business really does have so much to offer a bride from wedding dress, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, dresses for Mom, and an alterations staff above all the rest. I would recommend Enchanting Moments to all brides looking for a great experience!!!

After looking at dozens of gowns around Raleigh and Cary and finding only a few that I liked, I made an appointment at Enchanting Moments and Elizabeth helped me find "the" dress. It was perfect and I knew it the instant I put it on. Elizabeth was very talented at listening to what kinds of dresses I was interested in and then bringing out dresses that not only matched my requests, but also were very flattering to my body type. I really appreciated that they had larger sizes to try. Many other stores only carry size 6 or 8 samples (because there's no such thing as a size 12-14 bride!). Not only was Elizabeth great, but when it came to the alterations, Maura was incredible too. I was so happy with my entire experience at Enchanting Moments and would recommend it without any hesitation. My wedding was May 6th and I felt like a princess. Everyone loved the gown. Thank you Elizabeth and Maura for all you did to help me create my dream wedding!

I had an appointment at 2pm. I arrived at 1:50pm. I sat there and waited until 2:30pm when a woman, who seemed to be the manager or maybe owner greeted me. I was with my mother and my best friend. This woman asked if I was "with these other women". She never introduced herself to them. She said, "sorry for having to wait". We were led back to this room where there were evening gowns and an aisle of discounted wedding dresses. We were not offered anything to drink. Other women were there trying on dresses too. This shop does nothing to make the bride feel special. In fact, customers are made to feel like they are doing the business a favor. While trying on dresses, they only have these small square boxes to stand upon. They hand you a cheap, dollar store type of mirror so you can attempt to see the back of the gown. They do not have 3-way mirrors there. The women working there do not make any comments on the dresses. They do not suggest what may look good for certain types of weddings. After being there for almost 2 1/2 hours we were still not offered a drink - not even water. They never made suggestions for accessories such as earrings, necklaces, etc. Very rude and unaccommodating. In fact this owner, manager was very rude and snapped at a few questions and suggestions made. I would not recommend this place unless a person knew that they were desperate and only wanted to check out the dresses. A bride should be made to feel like a princess while shopping for a dress. This is such a special time for a woman and her mother or special family member or friends. I wouldn't waste my time or money in this shop!
