Day Spa 255

Several high maintenance girlfriends and I were highly satisfied with our Spa Day - with facials, massages, and manicures. The staff walked us through things, made us feel good, and did a great job, and were fun!!!. I defintely plan on going back and would recommend this place to anyone. We didn't have our hair done, but the salon area, which is separate, seemed busy. The Spa area is separate, and has its own waiting area, which was more relaxing and private.

Pros: Friendly; know what they're doing; good parking; relaxed

My wife is in medical school here in Chapel Hill and does not have very much time off to spend time on herself with her demanding schedule. For our anniversary I purchased her a package that included a manicure/pedicure and a facial. She used the manicure/pedicure when she had time and then had boards etc. so was unable to use the facial for a good while. She went to redeem her gift card and the owner told her she would have to pay half of the facial b/c of the time it had been since the purchase. She is not confrontational at all and could not reach me so proceeded to get her facial. The lady that gave the facial was excellent and when she proceeded to meet the owner up front she called me and was able to reach me, and explain what the OWNER had told her about paying half of the facial. I asked her to put me on the phone with him and explained to him calmly that I had already paid for the facial in full and that nowhere on the card did it say a time limit, and that I shouldn't have to pay again for something I had already paid for. Immediately as a child would have a temper tantrem, He proceeded to YELL at me and tell me fine its free (which is RIDICULOUS) as I had already paid for it IN FULL and he hung up on me with my wife's cell phone and TOSSED it at her and YELLED AT HER TO "GET OUT NOW", JUST GET OUT, ITS FREE!!!! Multiple times. She politely asked him if she could tip the lady who gave her facial and she did. She proceeded to come to me in tears over the way he treated her. I was trying to do something kind for the woman I love and have a relaxing experience after all the stress she puts up with and I will never support such a terrible business owner such as the owner of Day Spa 225. I will tell everyone I know this story and how he treated my wife and will never return until he manages his business into the ground and there is new ownership.

Pros: Everyone but the owner was very kind and did a great job

Cons: Owner treating customers very unprofessionally

I had the pleaseure of going to Day Spa 255 w/ my girlfirends for a friends wedding and we had the most luxurious time! The entire staff was so very friendly and patient with us. We had 8 girls being primped. Facials, manicures, pedicures, hairdoos.....the "works!" Debbie was my hair stylist and she is wonderful. So kind and sweet. I told her what i wanted done and she did exactly that plus 10. She made nice conversation w/ me. Her husband Greg also works there, what a nice man, very handsome! (sorry Deb) She told me a little about her daughter and she sounds delightful, just like her mother! I HIGHLY....HIGHLY recommend this Spa. Its like getting your hair done by family!!!

I've been to Day Spa and I find that the staff are very friendly and really try to give you what you want. I've only ever had one mix up there, and the staff offered to make up for the mistake. Sure, the decor isn't the most modern, but the knowledge and the friendliness of the staff more than compensates. The manicurist...Nancy, I think her name is is so thorough. I really like how she takes her time to do a good job and makes sure that she doesn't cut you, not like in the chop shops. The lady that does the facials, Jamie, is really nice and does a lot to make you comforatable and give you advice on how to take care of your skin.

I was there when you came in that morning to have your services and you were offered other services not to mention the fact that you assured the staff that your crew would be showing up on Saturday. I am a loyal patron of Day Spa 255 and when people like you want to be spiteful and petty it is a shame.

I have been to Day Spa 255 several times for a facial and massage..Jamie and Penny are great.!! I never leave disppointed and always leave very relaxed !

I do NOT recommend this place. I had my relatives coming in from out-of-town, and arranged a day at the spa for them at Day Spa 255. They showed up, only to be informed that the technicians who were scheduled to perform the services were out and they had not arranged for anyone else to take their place. They did not apologize, call ahead of time, nor offer any other services. We then cancelled our business, as well as cancelled additional appointments the next day, since we were unsure if they their technicians would call in sick again. The owner of the Spa then proceeded to call us and YELL at us. Yes, she called our private number and proceeded to chastise us and raise her voice for the fact that we cancelled (when she was the one who couldn't provide service). I ask people not to use this Spa.

Missy cuts my hair here and she is fabulous. It always looks great and takes no time at all to do. My hair always looks exactly like I want it and I always get complimented on it. I have recommended this salon to others and would definately do so again!
