The pizza at Pepper's is pretty top notch. It is the only pizza joint I know in Chapel Hill to offer a good selection of tasty beers and an incredible array of toppings. The staff are nice and work their fingers to the bone when they are slammed. With that being said I find it surprising that Toddtheblog, the fine clean fellow that he is, would make the statements about Pepper's that he did. It would seem that this gourmand likes the finer things in life. A nice bottle of hand sanitizer, Mom's freshly pressed slacks and the sweet sounds of the Harvard Glee Club. The only thing creepy about Pepper's is the fact that there are people like you that frequent it. For those of you who like cultural landmarks and awesome food to boot...check out this Chapel Hill fav.

Pros: Great Beer and Awesome Pie

I guess if the pizza arrived by a thrid party delivery service to my home, and I did not know it came from this creepy place, I would eat it.

Pros: Eatable pizza

Cons: Creepy people who I don't want touching my food, period.

Good service and tasty hot pizza. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to go get a slice. Seemed clean and staff was friendly. There was a problem when a homeless person came in and tried to panhandle and the staff asked him to leave. The homeless fellow challenged the manager to a fight and was screaming profanities. This was not a good thing in a restaurant filled with families and little kids.

you definitely do not want to miss out on their amazing pizza - delicious! - but if you're intolerant of loud music (heavy metal) take a set of earplugs... best pizza in chapel hill by far.

...pizza place downtown CH. Perfect before hitting the local bars. The atmosphere is great, the service excellent and the slices are big. My fav' is the Luau but you have plenty of choice. Ah, no desserts... Anyway, it's just an awesome place ! and don't miss the artwork on the walls.

Pros: pizza, downtown, service

Any time I have a friend or family member come visit me at school in Chapel Hill, a trip to Pepper's is a must. No one can beat their calzones and strombolis and their pizza is absolute heaven. I highly recommend their white pizza.

Pros: Great food, Best sweet tea, Cool punky atmosphere

Cons: Bad parking, Small, Few large tables

NO QUESTION....BEST IN THE TRIANGLE AREA, IF NOT MY FAVORITE IN NC.

Editor's Review

This hip, modern bistro popular with UNC students is a far cry from the typical red-checkered tablecloth pizzeria.  See the full editorial review.
