I have been a customer of Bunky's for several years; have taken my car each year to the one off of Cary Parkway for a full detail. Every year the cost increases. It is now $200 for inside and out, the works. The steepness in price has me searching for new vendor. Furthermore, two additional situations have me questioning the business practices of this particular Bunky's. I use the loaner car to drive myself home and back during the time my car is being detailed. This amounts to a total of 4 miles since I live close by. I noticed this last year and raised a flag but it happen again. Bunky's requires the driver of the loaner car to refill the gas tank at Bunky's gas pump. Each time, they have tried to charge me for a full gallon of gas!! They have stated that the car left with a full tank of gas each time. Each time, I have resisted this charge given that a gallon of gas, especially with the midsize car they have available- should be good for at least 16 miles or so. They suggest the gas evaporates while it is sitting there. Perhaps. I will let you be the judge of this but regardless - it is suspect to charge customers for one gallon of gas (they wanted to charge me $3.44) when only 4 miles have been driven. After much "silliness". Bunky's agreed to reimburse me $2.00 for the gas. I gave the $2 to one of the employees. And lastly during my experience, my swiss army knife that I keep in back of car became missing or misplaced. It was there prior to dropping off my car at Bunky's. While I am giving Bunky's and its employees the benefit of the doubt - I will not return to this facility.

We recently had a bad experience at Bunkey's but we truly appreciated how the ownership rectified the situation and made it right. We will give them a 2nd chance because of this.
Pros: Caring owner

I visited the Cary location on High House today and was appalled at the poor service. I find it extremely hard to believe that they're still in business. The part that angered me the most was not that the manager locked the keys in the car, but that the owner tried to make it seem like it was my fault for not knowing the remote entry code. I went there to simply get my car washed during my lunch hour and ended up spending an hour and a half there and never ended up eating lunch. It wasn't until I mentioned to the owner that no one ever apologized for the delay or offered a refund that either was considered. At that point, no thank you. They can keep the money I paid for my car wash today, because it'll be the last of my money that they'll ever see.
