Mary Beth is the best! I have experienced MANY wedding/party planners over the past dozen years, as I have photographed weddings all over the United States. However, until I needed my very own to help create my daughter's wedding and reception, I did not understand how NECESSARY she would become on this day! Mary Beth invests not only her time with you before, during and after...she gives it her ALL in details and more importantly, giving you the assurarance that the day will go smoothly. Details not even spoken about, are covered...what I mean is, Mary Beth lets YOU enjoy the Big Event in your life, not having you run around doing things that have been planned. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FABULOUS WOMAN!
Pros: She executes the day perfectly, with many smiles!

Wonderful lady with awesome visions. She helped me to plan a sweet 16 party for my daughter and I can't say enough great things about her. It was a winter theme and she was always helping me watch my budget and still make this party a magnificent time! She has so much experience and loaded with creativity. She's not pushy, but very accommodating and eager to please. She was there all day for the day of the party and handled everything professionally so I could enjoy it myself. I have made a friend in Mary Beth and would reccommend her for any event you might be planning.!
Pros: reliable, creative, honest, budget minded,friendly
Cons: absolutely none!

Mary Beth is by far one of a kind. I can't imagine what our wedding would have been without her tremendous help and creative ideas. There were so many details that Mary Beth had from experience that we would have never thought of. Not only did she give us so many great ideas, such as...out of town gift bags, bridesmaid gifts, rehearsal and wedding day timelines; she bent over backwards to help with centerpieces, fixing a groomsman pants, decorating the honeymoon suite with rose petals and all last minute details. Most importantly, she made my us feel at ease and comfortable. Thank you Mary Beth for making that special day so perfect.

Mary Beth has a gift for creating unique and personal parties. I have attended several of her events and naturally hired her for my son's First Communion celebration. I did not have the time or ability to put together a party for 20+ people at my home. With her help we were able to create a party that was truly personalized. She had the vision to tie together the religious nature of the event with my Italian heritage and to make it fun! After she helped me to decide on a theme, she took control of the details while asking for feedback along the way. She put together samples, took me to showrooms, and made all of the arrangements. She kept me informed every step of the way. By the day of the party everything was in place and I was able to attend the Communion without worrying about a single detail. From the menu to the music to the party favors, Mary Beth did not miss a thing. You can tell that Mary Beth loves what she does and it shows in the way she treats her clients and her ability to create spectacular parties. Thanks to the Big Event this was the first time I was able to sit back enjoy my own party without the normal worries of a hostess and with the confidence that my party would be a success!

Mary Beth provided excellent service (recommendations, ideas, and forethought for event timelines) as my family planned my mother's seventy-fifth surprise birthday party from out of state. And we executed it beautifully last week-end without a glitch! I live in Virginia and having Mary Beth's local connections and support were invaluable. In addition to her professional adeptness for coordinating events, she is polite, responsive, prompt, personable, and extremely pleasant to work with. She presents ideas and suggestions to her clients in a kind and unassuming way that creates an atmosphere of cooperativeness and unity of effort. I found when working with Mary Beth that our event was her number one effort and she focused on us and assuring our requirements were met. And they were! She describes herself as "an extra set of hands," but she is much more than an extra set of hands - more like 10! She worked late into the evening with us to assure the room was perfect, facilitated the party, and assisted with the clean-up. She created a wonderful festive atmosphere for our guests - the party was a tremendous success! The bottom line is - She is excellent in all ways and I will certainly solicit her services again and highly recommend her to anyone searching for an event planner. Here's to you, Mary Beth! Your Assistance Created a Successful Surprise Party for a Most Special Birthday Event in My Mother's Life! And as Elvis would say, "Thank You Very Much!" (She found our Elvis Impersonator for us, too - and he was great)!

I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for Mary Beth. I live in California and my family is in NC. I was trying to plan a baby shower for my sister in NC. It was just a disaster. Nothing was working out and I was running out of time. So I decided to hire an event planner and Mary Beth had great reviews so I gave her a call. After speaking with me a while she was able to get an idea of the direction I wanted to go. I explained that I was on a budget and she was so accomodating! She was worth twice what she charged. When we arrived the day of the shower it was like a fairytale. It was exactly what I had wanted. It was as if she knew the picture I had in my mind and she had created it. My sister LOVED every thing and was so happy. I know that it will be a special day she will always remember... thanks to Mary Beth. I felt like she was a part of the family! If you want a smooth hassle free event... Mary Beth is the one to call! Thank you again for everything. You made my sister's dream come true! Love, Deana & Nikki :)

Marybeth, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! Her help with my daughter's Sweet 16 party was THE major reason it was such a huge success. From the initial planning, to the decorating as well as clean up, she was right there. And again, I can only say, it would've been a totally different party without her. The kids are still talking about it at school!! She truly has a gift for making any event magical and we were so blessed to have her.
Pros: She will think of ideas that you could never imagine and show you how easy they are to incorporate into any event.
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!

The Big Event was everything I had hoped and more. Being our family's first wedding, we needed ideas and suggestions to help us avoid the inevitable errors novices make. Mary Beth's expertise was invaluable. She quickly grasped the spirit of our particular event and came up with clever ideas to make our reception unique. I was impressed with the tact in which she gently guided us. The real test was the evening of the reception. A vendor was late and understaffed. Mary Beth was there, pitching in and helping with set up, making alternative plans in case they were not ready when the guests arrived, and cleaning up when, again these vendors came late for the clean-up. She was outstanding!

Where can I begin -- having already helped plan two of my son's weddings, when it came time for my daughter's wedding, I knew we needed help. This is the most special day in her life and I wanted everything just perfect. One of my dearest friends, recommended Mary Beth, who is The Big Event -- I think it's her nickname -- because she's just full of the most wonderful ideas and knows all of the best resources. She encouraged the bride to dream about what she wanted her wedding to be like and then she made it happen. Everything was just spectacular and best of all we were able to enjoy the day knowing that she was taking care of all of the details just the way we wanted. At one point, someone stepped on the bride's dress and the bussle came down, moments later she had it sewed back into place and the bride was back on the dance floor -- absolutely seamless! From decorating, to coordinating all of the vendors, managing the sequence of events and wrapping up after the guests left -- her goal is for everyone to have a wonderful time and enjoy the first day of their life together and that's exactly what happened.

I wanted a special graduation dinner party that my daughter would always remember. She loved it! Mary Beth decorated my dining room table with elegance and detail. Each guest including teenaged boys gave it a "thumbs up". She provided everything I needed and more. She returned the next morning to CLEAN UP leaving my home spotless. The Big Event truly made my daughter's graduation dinner party an evening she will always remember. Thank you Mary Beth! Bonnie Tyner
