I started training with Cameron in the spring of my senior year at Duke, which meant driving from Durham to workout in Raleigh. Having been involved in sports most of my life, I never really thought I needed a personal trainer, but because I was considering competing in a beauty pageant, my mom thought it would be a good idea. Eventually the beauty pageant plans fell through, and, while my mom suggested going back to working out on my own, I was persistent in continuing my training with Cameron. It sounds silly, but my training sessions had become like therapy to me. Not only had I lost ten pounds and felt better physically, but working out with Cameron always seemed to put my mind at ease. Not only does Cameron have an excellent skill set in personal training, but he is also an excellent person, who you will feel at ease around and able to talk to about whatever is on your mind. I jokingly call him my life coach and genuinely look forward to training with him. I believe that a lot of people avoid working out because they don’t like the feeling of working out in front of others in a gym and the results aren’t worth the effort. With Form Fitness you have the option of working out in a private studio all to yourself and it will be worth it. For six months I drove from Durham to train with Cameron and would still be doing it had I not relocated closer to Raleigh for my job. If you’re looking to improve your fitness and overall health, I highly recommend trying Form Fitness.

Being new to the Raleigh area I needed a personal trainer, had worked out with one but wasn't quite up to par with what I was looking for. I am very picky and had specific needs. I literally stumbled across formfitness on the internet, called the number, and Cameron called me back within hours to set up our first free session. I was hooked immediately, Cameron and all his staff members I met are top notch and definitely hand selected individuals. I only ever work out with Cameron and was always very pleased, his diverse knowledge of exercises other than mere weight lifting gave me something new and interesting to look forward to on our visits. They have an incredible private studio to work out in! I've tried trainers all over this state and this has by far been the best experience (Never late for sessions, always pumped and ready to train me, they make it all about you). Cant say enough about Form Fitness. They'll always have my vote. ~Jason

I don't have a lot of experience with other personal trainers in the area, but I can't imagine any being much better than Form Fitness. I initially approached the idea of hiring a personal trainer with a great deal of skepticism. After all, how could paying somebody to tell me what exercises to do be that much better than just getting out there and exercising on my own? But I had determined that this was one area of my life that I was going to get under control and my own attempts up to this point had been less than exemplary. So I took Form Fitness up on their free consultation/training session and the rest is history. My initial impressions of Cameron (my trainer and President of Form Fitness) were very good. He is very knowledgable about a broad spectrum of personal training and fitness techniques and has been very helpful in answering any questions I've had over the past few months. He has a great deal of experience (he's been involved in many triathlons and other types of events and has the medals to prove it) and you can tell that he really does love what he is doing. He has always been very professional but also personable, making my training sessions not only successful from a goal standpoint but also a lot of fun. I can honestly say that I have seen definite results over the past 12 weeks I have been training with Form Fitness, and I only train once per week. Sometimes the techniques we've used haven't always been traditional from a strength training point of view but it has amazed me the results we have achieved. I have also become much more motivated to exercise on my own throughout the rest of the week and Cameron even helped me in my quest to finally quit smoking. It isn't cheap (albeit less than other trainers in the area) but it is absolutely worth every penny. If you're sitting on the fence with regards to personal training, give Form Fitness a chance and take them up on their free session. You won't be disappointed.
