While seeking help for a bad back, a friend suggested Judith's class. I have been attending Judith's classes for two years and have just celebrated a one year anniversary with no back pain. I contribute my pain-free year to my increased core strength, patience and understanding of my body. All as a direct result of yoga.
Pros: locations, make up flexibility, class variety
Cons: none

Tired of those yoga teachers who are just bursting at the seams to show you how well they can do a head stand or a body pretzle? Then you absolutely must give Judith a try! Judith's philosophy shows through her teaching. She already knows yoga, so why spend the entire class sitting at the front showing you what she knows? Judith takes time throughout the class to help people individually if she sees them doing a pose wrong or in a position where they can hurt themselves. She demonstrates it first, then helps you give it a try. I've been to several other yoga classes in my lifetime, and those teachers have much to learn from a teacher like Judith. Some teachers simply talked too much. Other teachers kept you in down dog as if that's the only position they knew. And still other teachers stayed in front of the class talking you through the poses and never making an effort to help you get into the pose or try a modified version of the pose that's just right for your body. Judith will check on you and help you out. Judith offers a range of clases like Gentle, More Stretch, and Advanced classes. She also offers classes just for women and classes just for men. She makes sure to take it easy on her students in the Gentle classes. And even in the Advanced class, if she has a student making up for a missed class that isn't usually in the Advanced class, she makes sure that student does not try the advanced poses unless they are sure. You are in good hands with Judith. In fact, her gentle class is so good that I can go to her class with a headache and by the time the class is over the headache is gone. I can go to her class with my entire body in knots and walk out feeling like I just had a professional massage! All without her ever once touching me. It's the positions and the ease in which she transitions you into each position that relaxes your body and melts away the stress. She has me truly convinced that her intent is to TEACH and LIVE yoga, not just show yoga.
Pros: Atmospher, class size, number of classes offered, reasonable price
Cons: Not a single thing
