I used to be a regular at Lubranos because I work nearby. However on my two recent visits I have been really disappointed. During my first visit, my soup was cold and stale and there was a black curly hair in it. The management waved me off when I tried to diplomatically explain (there was a crowd in there). On my second visit (yes, for some reason I decided to go back when a coworker wanted to go there), my pasta was undercooked (think crunchy), the soda was watery, there were 2 errors on my bill, and the place was filthy - the floor, the table was sticky, and there was chewing gum stuck to the wall. It's a shame when a neighborhood place goes downhill like this. I will not be returning.
Pros: Close to office parks
Cons: Bad food, bad service, hygeine

The breads were freshly baked, the Caesar's salad was delicious, and the lasagna was as good as... well... my own homemade. Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us and refilled the tea drinkers glasses often. They also had a nice wine list and dessert selections.
Pros: The atmosphere was warm and friendly, food was excellent, great service.

Excellent!!! Italian food. Authentic taste and healthy portions. Staff and owner are very friendly and personable. Prices are cheaper than most italian restuarants. A must try. You'll be hooked like I am. A loyal customer for the last 6 years. Food is consistentely outstanding authentic. No chain food here!
Pros: Excellent food and prices
Cons: Seating a little tight for romantic dinners

Low carb, low salt, does not matter, they will cook to order and the food is delicious. Everything made from scratch. Reasonable priced house wines. A great mom and po place!
Pros: Great mom and pop place

Man, i thought we had a good thing going here! As my previous review stated, the first four visits were great, (in so far as the food was concerned). But let me tell you, the last two visits were NOT GOOD! On our fifth visit, we ordered Calamari...it was so overcooked! We sent it back, the second batch was the same! Then they told us that they ran out. Then they brought out two of the dinners, my wife's and my son's. It was fifteen minutes later before mine and my daughter's meal came out....and everything was overcooked. Well, we thought it was just a bad night for them (and they did offer free desert). So, we went back one more time....big mistake (the place being 80% empty should have been an indicator). If someone can recommend a good Italian cafe with moderate pricing, please let us know!
Pros: Plenty of parking
Cons: Went downhill Bigtime

In an unassuming strip shopping center in Morrisville is this very worthwhile mom and pop Italian restaurant. The interior is comfortable and inviting; service is excellent. Expect to wait on weekends and at peak lunch times, but the wait is worth it. The garlic knots sold at dinner are very nice, and the pasta dishes in general are recommended. Try the specials; I've never had a bad one. Very reasonably priced.
Pros: Service, pasta dishes
Cons: Sometimes a tolerable wait

Easily the best Italian food in the area, and at great prices. Our family, four adults and two children, sampled everything from shrimp pizza to lobster ravioli, salmon and shrimp pasta, fettuccine and spinach ravioli to cannolis and chocolate cake. We all raved and passed around each dish. The kids' menu was excellent; my grandson ate more at that meal than he has ever eaten at table. The seafood was fresh, the pasta perfectly al dente, the cream sauce for the ravioli was smooth, rich and a perfect complement. Best cannolis we've ever had. Our server was friendly, funny, completely knowledgeable and attentive to our every need. We are new to the area, but already have found our favorite restaurant...it's Lubrano's.
Pros: Perfect sauces, kid's menu, fast, friendly service
Cons: None

If you're looking for some great Italian food, I highly recommend you do not dine at Lubrano's. My spouse and I went there with a couple of our friends thinking that the food would be great since it's owned by Italians. Guess what? It's not. It's a shame because it looks cute inside. The service is poor too. When we visited, it wasn't even that busy and the service was pretty bad. It takes a lot for me to write on one of these boards and if I take the time to complain, then it's pretty bad. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in RTP...just drive by Lubrano's and go some place else!
Pros: Cute
Cons: bad service, not-so-great food

We just ordered a large cheese pie from Lubrano's, we are on a quest to find the best tasting NY style pizza in North Carolina. Pizza was good, but not great and not like any pizza in NY. It was better then 'NY Pizza' just up Weston parkway. The pizza was extremely thin and flat. If you put a level to it you would have a level line. Where is the thick crust around the edge? The cheese and sauce were ok but it was missing something....either the oil or some herbs, and of course the crust. Another thing we ordered large but this was no ordinary large..seemed like a small. As part of dining in you receive complementary mini garlic knots, they were good as well but the sauce was not. Tasted like spaghetti Os canned sauce. Overall nice place for a quick bite to eat. Fast, friendly service. Free refills is a plus.
Pros: Free refills, free garlic knots, fast service.
Cons: Still not the best NY style pizza.

This is a great place! Not only is the chicken parmesan good, they also have shrimp parmesan which is heavenly. My husband loves the pasta fagioli. Any soup they make has that wonderful "from scratch" taste. We took two of my husband's relatives from Chicago there for lunch, on the way back from the beach and even they raved about it. And unlike one other reviewer, we have NEVER had to wait, not even on Father's Day! The ambience is just fine, but if you spot a large noisy group as you walk in, try and sit as far away as possible because it's a small enough room that sound really carries.
Pros: excellent food, excellent prices
Cons: can get noisy with big groups, or families with loud children
