Ocean Star Seafood Restaurant is a family friendly environment filled with charm and hospitality from the moment you enter the front door. It has fresh seafood that keeps you running back for more. My family and I have lunch or dinner here once a week. It has become like a second home. We love the menu, portion size and fried items. The management and staff are professional and courteous. It is our favorite place to dine.

I too was shocked to read these comments about Ocean Stars. It's my favorite place for fast, inexpensive seafood! . We've been going for years and the service is always fast and friendly. The manager that we see whenever we go in there is always smiling and checking on the tables in her dining room. Don't be persuaded to not give this place a try based on a few knuckle-head comments from customers that were probably in there looking for something for nothing in the first place!

Pros: Great service-friendly staff

Cons: None!!- Give it a try :)

Ocean Stars has some pretty good food. But to be honest the Owner/Manager lady isn't so great. She's a bit bossy [to her costumers not her employees] but as far as the food goes id recommend trying it. If you want good food w/o the bad experience..try the take out. :)

We recently moved to this area, and my husband and I are looking for a good seafood place that we can frequent. We thought we had found such a place with Ocean Stars. Our waitress was nice, although the food was just average. We had enjoyed our meal and decided that this would be a place we might come back to . At the end of the meal, with our belly's full of greasy fish, we were simply enjoying ourselves. I kicked my foot up on the booth across from me and my hubby leaned back and relaxed. Then the manager came over to me, and with an attitude, told me to, "get my feet off of her booth's". We are never coming back. Did I mention that we we're the only table in our section that didn't get the courtesy of asking us how our meal was, or perhaps she(the manager or owner, I'm not sure) was dispensing rude comments out like complimentary mints.

Very friendly service and a nice, roomy restaurant. The food came out quickly even though there is an extensive menu. Very well priced with large portions. Definitely try the baby back ribs, the sauce is unique and is a refreshing change. Lots of cheesecakes offered for dessert, though after such a large dinner you might not have room!

Oh my god this is the coolest place ever!!!! The food was awsome especially that Sami's Salmon. But the friendly staff was what will make us come back again and again. They made us smile and laugh and gave us personal attention. I felt like I was with friends. I saw them interact with all their customers and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. With the yummy in my tummy food and even better service you cant go wrong don't change a thing!!!!!!!

Wow! I'm shocked by these negative reviews. Ocean Stars is one of our favorite places to eat. The portions are huge, the scallops and salmon are a family favorite. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but if you want really, really good seafood or even better ribs, this is the place. Great prices and very family friendly!

Four of five at our table ordered broiled fish. After over a 40 minute wait, the food was served. Other diners came in, ordered, ate and left while we still waited! The fifth person's fried trout was cold as it had been sitting while they finished broiling. Broiled entrees were only fair. When we spoke to the owner about the extreme wait and our general dissatisfaction, she was extremely rude. We were even left sitting at the table as we waited for over 10 minutes for a bill! I will never step in this establishment again.

Pros: NONE!

For the money the fried portions are very large. Offer daily specials including an all you can eat popcorn shrimp special selected weekdays. If you arrive between 5-5:30 you will never have to wait. Casual atmosphere with good service. An overall great value.

I read one of the other reviews and I disagree completely. Ocean Stars is a pretty good place if you have the urge to get seafood. It is a typical southern fish camp type place. My family and Ihave been there several times - and have always gotten decent service and good food at fair price. For a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) we can eat dinner there for under $50. The only downside that I have for this place is the fact that most of the menu is fried - there are a couple broiled or boiled options, but not many.
