Do NOT get your hair done here!! I had my hair cut there, only $35....the girl has brown hair and her station is to the left when you walk in. Do NOT, and I repeat do not let her do your hair. She has NO clue what she is doing. My hair was long, to the middle of my back and all I wanted was a trim and to thin it out a little. Well she chops it 2 inches, cuts my bangs so they are in the middle of my forehead after I told her dont touch my bangs, and butchered the back of my hair when thinning it out. I have to go back the next day and they ended up having to cut 7 inches off and that didn't even make it look any better. I cried for 3 days straight. I wll take me a year to fix what they have done. Then I said well I'd like my money back and they said no. So I said I would like to get my new few haircuts for free because I'm going to have to keep getting it cut a lot to get this fixed...and they had the nerve to say..."Well when you came back in to get it fixed, that was your free haircut"

I moved to Raleigh, NC from Las Vegas, Nevada and had a very hard time finding a good colorist for blonde hair. I have been a terrible gold color for a long time. I feel very lucky that I found Kaitlyn Scholl at Salon Blu - she worked with me and found a perfect blonde color and even a great cut that made me look younger. I had so many compliments and that never use to happen. If you are a blonde, you need to go to Kaitlyn - you will not be disappointed. Jennifer

I've been to salons all over Raleigh and my experiences at Salon Blu have been the best by far. My stylist keeps up with the latest trends and is always flexible. Some services are very expensive but my stylist has found ways of achieving a similar result with a less pricey technique. I've been with my stylist for 2 years now and she's been great. I also like the customer reward system for buying products. Every so often, I have collected enough rewards to get a free bottle of shampoo or styling product.

Lauren has been wonderful. She cuts and colors my hair. Both of my sisters who live out of state loved my hair. One of them has started driving to Raleigh from the D.C. area to have Lauren cut her hair as well. The other has considered doing so as well. Lauren has a great personality, and she is very flexible -- she often takes me on short notice. I have been very happy with the service she provides.

Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff

Cons: None

I visited Salon Blu about a week before Christmas and I loved every minute of it!! Jerielle was my color/stylist and she was wonderful. Everyone I came in contact with was very professional, friendly and fun to be around. I had a great cut which has been easy to care for and style. As for my color- I have been told MANY times that it has taken 10 years off my appearance. Jerielle gave me several useful tips for keeping my cut manageable and great looking. I'm looking forward to going back in a few weeks for a color touchup, and maybe a bangs trim. I'm not sure I can afford Jerielle everytime, but I will definately be back for another cut...I loved this one!! I also got my eyebrows waxed and makeup done. I'm sorry to say I can't remember the name of the young lady who did my makeup, but I really enjoyed it. I was really amazed at how much difference the eyebrow waxing made!! The makeup was great too, and I plan to return to purchase some of their cosmetics.

Pros: Professional atmosphere, relaxed surroundings, lots of services to offer.

Cons: May get expensive in the future, but I love the results!

I went to Salon Blu for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I wanted a completely new look. I went in with a couple of pictures and Alan helped me come up with a style. I told him that I wanted new color, but told him to pick the colors based on his experience and what would look best with my skin tones. I could not be happier with the result. They style is amazing and the color is fantastic. I have never had so many compliments on my hair!!! If you are interested in a new look, go see Alan at Briar Creek . You won't be sorry!!!

Pros: The people are great! They do a fantastic job!

Cons: None!

I decided to try a new, recommended hair salon closer to home. Bad idea. While the hairdresser was very friendly, I don't think she listened to anything I said as far as how I wanted my hair colored or cut. I asked for: highlights and lowlights to match what was on most of my hair, 1 inch off with long layers and it must go into a ponytail for work. What I got: an 80's mullette...1 inch off the bottom, not even at that, and random layers so short they didn't fit into a ponytail holder for 4 weeks. To top that off I got chunky hair color with brown roots where she tried to color the sides (to cover early gray) after the initial color. My husband put it best...it looked better before you went and it looks like you haven't colored it in a few months. When I explained my displeasure, she proceeded to tell me what I owed. In shock, I hesitantly payed. I called back the next day and the owner gladly refunded my money....too bad she couldn't fix my hair. If you are looking for a different look or a punk rock look, this is your place. If you want what you ask for, I highly recommend Michelle and Douglas Carroll....she fixed my color beautifully 2 days later!

Pros: cool atmosphere, nice people

Cons: bad service

I have been going here for a couple of years now. This place is fabulous. You truly do walk out of there looking and feeling like a new person. They listen when you tell them how you want your hair to look. Plus the shampoos are FABULOUS.... pure heaven! They are all wonderful, everyone is so so so friendly. I LOVE IT HERE!!! I recommend it to any and everyone.

Pros: Best staff ever. So friendly

Cons: not cheap, but well worth it.

I have been going to Salon Blu for a little over a year. It came highly reccommended to me. I still remember the excitment and nervousness of my first visit. As soon as I sat in Casey's chair I was instantly relaxed. She does a fantastic job of listening to you and suggesting what will work best for you. Not just dictating what the cut and color should be. She takes the time to get to know her clients and what their comfort levels are. I haven't had the same haircut once since I have been going there. Which I love! Each cut has been better than the one before. So if you want a make-over that will last go see Casey at Salon Blu. She is fantastic and a joy! I look forward to my hair cuts instead of dreading them.

I've been to Salon Blu at Falls of Neuse twice now, and I've seen Alison both times. I recently moved to the Raleigh/Cary area and I've always taken pride in my hair, so finding the right person seemed like it might have been a struggle. I was wrong! Alison also does my boyfriend's hair, so he recommended her to me. She always listens to what you have to say and does an amazing job. Each time I've been more than satisfied with how my hair turns out and I receive countless compliments EVERY DAY. Those of you who complain about the prices might be okay with receiving mediocre hair for a cheaper price. While I refuse to drop hundreds of dollars on clothing, my hair is worth the money I spend on it and I know for a fact that Salon Blu does all they can to cater to their clients. Beautiful salon, with talented stylists!
