Love the atmosphere, this place should be one of those small places that server "the best". I've been there three times in two years and always wonder why a "Burger Joint" has average burgers. The buns were obviously bought at the grocery store and not even fresh. The burger meat was either a really dry grind or something bought frozen wholesale. I love the idea of a "burger joint" and hoped this would be weekly stop but I'm wondering if they are so attached to the beer revenue the food quality really doesn't matter.
Pros: Not a Chain
Cons: Hamburgers

Oh, My Gosh. I loved this place. The food, service, and prices were great. It's an ideal place for students or adults that don't want to spend to much. The wings were great and it was one of the best dates I have ever been on. This one of the best resturants's I've ever been to.
Pros: great atmosphere
Cons: it was hot outside

Although the seating outside is decent, I was appalled at how rude the waitstaff and the manager was to their customers. After waiting for 30 minutes on two single burgers, I simply asked the waitress if our food was almost ready. She replied in a very short manner, "I put it in." Then after an hour of waiting on our food, I asked her again what was going on, because a group had come in after us and they were nearly finished with their meal. She said, "Oh I forgot to put in your order," I replied "Why did you tell me you put it in before," and she said "Look I am busy and I don't have time for you." From there another waiter came and said he could make my girlfriend and I leave for being rude. I left!!! MAD!! and on top of that I never received an apology from anyone at Mojoes. I will never go back regardless of how good the food is, because their customer service is HORRIBLE!!
Pros: alright atmosphere
Cons: very poor service

I live about mile from Mojoe's and I find myself there with regularity. It's a great place to sit down, enjoy a beer and eat some comfort food in a relatively laid-back setting. The veggie burger is great and they will make it in the style of most any of their specialty burgers - I recommend the Smush (Mushroom 'n' Swiss) and the Inferno (Jalapenos and Pepper Jack) or just create your own (the slaw is wonderful). The fries are usually done right and the onion rings are terrific. The staff is mostly friendly and upbeat and I can't recall ever waiting too long for my food. I wish Glenwood South had a lot more places like this and less of the gross "glitz and glamour" scene that's currently mucking it up. Oh, and did I mention that they're open late? Appreciated.
Pros: super veggie burger

I'm disappointed at this supposed "great burger place" is. The premade burgers, overdone to a point of having no taste, made for a queasy day and night. Now, in fairness, I understand there's a law in NC that you have to cook burgers past medium-well. Still, this wasn't good. Special lowlights? Watching the waitress repeatedly lift the bun with her fingers to see what's on there to make sure she's giving the right burger to the right person. Really good onion rings though.
Pros: Onion rings
Cons: The burgers

This is one of my favorite after-work eateries. You just can't beat the food for the money. It's comfortable, hip and more than a little quirky. Also, how many places in Raleigh even have a veggie burger - much less a good one?! (May I reccommend the veggie burger, cajun, with swiss, cheddar and a side of buffalo sauce?) Drinks are pretty stiff and the servers are fun, but not obnoxious fun. It's definitely worth a try! Oh, and they have lots of outside seating.
Pros: cheap but really good food

I was a little skeptical when I read the negative review about unimpressive premade burgers. I ordered a mushroom & swiss burger and it was absolutely awesome! It was so good! I have been living in Raleigh for 3 years and this is the best burger I have ever had here. The place is pretty cool too. I would not necessarily call it romantic though. It was a hip place with a bar. I wouldn't recommend taking a huge group because it's not that big, although the outside patio seated a big group last time I was there. I wouldn't take my kids there either. It's a twenty-something and up kinda place. Not necessarily a kid-like atmoshpere. The prices were average and the service was pretty good to. Looking forward to going back there soon.

So I tried it again after a one year hiatus. I remember why I hadn't been back. Instead of serving the frozen burgers, how about showing just a little effort and buy some fresh ground beef and make a real burger? The slaw and chili were great, but the frozen burgers and frozen fries reminded me of why we hadn't returned. Also, what's with all the hipster parents letting their offspring run wild throughout the establishment? The staff is great and they give great service, but it is not their responsibility to baby sit.

The food was pretty good. I had the Smush - topped with Swiss and sautéed mushrooms and onions... lots of flavor, and nice and messy. My boyfriend had the Cajun something - it had a nice kick with the jalapenos and spices. We shared an order of onion rings that were nice and crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. The only thing I didn't like was the pricing - a la carte... the burgers were around $5 each, without any fries or whatever. So, with an order of rings and 2 burgers, our tab was about $16... a little pricey for casual bar dinning.
Pros: good location, casual atmoshpere, ATM machine
Cons: limited seating, a la carte prices
