This place really does have the best French food in the area. Scones are wonderful as well as the ham and gruyere sandwich, stuffed baguettes, coffee-I could go on. For those looking for "cheap" food-you are obviously in the wrong area! A SPECIALTY store in CARY is not going to be around the Wal-Mart price range-you pay for QUALITY. It is by no means any more expensive than you would expect-very reasonable, actually. Also, I have never had bad service-on the contrary, we're always greeted pleasantly when we enter. The bakery also provides a few little tables in front to eat on-also quite a nice experience and as close to France as you are going to get around these parts. I don't think there is any problem bringing kids in here-I have been in on numerous occasions where well-behaved children didn't get a second glance from the staff. On the whole, highly recommended-a MUST if you live in or are visiting Cary.
Pros: selection of food and drinks, service, outdoor seating area
Cons: haven't found any yet...

This place is incredible!!! I feel like I stepped right off the street of Paris and into the most authentic French Bakery and right here in Cary. The staff was so warm and inviting and sampled this fabulous white chocolate mini baguette. We sat outside and indulged in our find as we ate flaky croissant, decadent pain au chocolate and this tender cinnamon bun with our coffee - I am in heaven!!!
Pros: Great Products
Cons: Would love to see inside seating

The bakers and employs are some of the most rude people I have come across in a customer-service oriented business. They stare you down when you sample something . And, if you do not find it to your liking or, more times than not, cannot afford it at their outrageous prices, the looks they give you are downright obnoxious! I presume that the bakery was opened for the pleasures of the Preston residents only. Also, God forbid if you bring children into the shop, every employee has their eye on you! Whole Foods a few blocks down the road has much better service at much better prices.
Pros: Variety
Cons: OVER-PRICED

I admitt La Farm Bakery's products have good quality and I used to love them. However I started to be disappointed since they keep increasing the prices....actually they are getting more and more expensive almost everytime I visit. Now they charge more than $4 for a loaf of regular white bread! I don't feel like supporting their business any more. You can get decent bread with decent price at The Fresh Market which is located only a couple blocks away. Panera Bread sells pretty good french baguettes too. Also I don't like the fact that they leave the pastries with fresh cream or fruits in room tempreture all day.
Pros: Good quality products
Cons: Ridiculously expensive

Lionel does an excellent job with the breads. I was really happy to find La Farm. I take the 40 minute trip once a month to buy 8-10 baguettes. (which I freeze them for the month) La Farm's other offerings, such as pastries, cakes, other REAL breads are great. Only O'Bread in Shelburne, VT makes better baguette in this eastern half of the US.
Pros: Best baguette in NC handsdown.

We love to visit La Farm and try something new! When my husband visits, he knows he better pick up at least 2 mini white chocolate baguettes for me! We love their baguettes for the dinner table and specialty items for when we have company over- guests are always impressed and ask where it is from! Visit soonand try something new!

La Farm has something that no other bakery has in the area: fresh product!! They bake everything fresh in the morning with the best ingredients and no extra chemicals and stuff in it. They have such an awesome selection, I can't believe everything they come up with for holidays!! If you have never been here, you have to stop in and try all of the samples! You won't want to go anywhere else for your bread ever again!!
Pros: Friendly, Inviting Atmosphere
Cons: No inside seating or cafe

This is the best bakery in NC. This bakery has the best bread in the area by far. A french master baker, a great staff, beautifully prepared breads! The bakeries and restaurants in the area would be wise to either learn from, or purchase from these people! Try the Asiago Parmesan cheese bread or the La Farm....You will be hooked!
Pros: Quality, Variety, Price
Cons: That you can't get this bread anywhere else!
