Love the music but hate how they charge a parking fee onto your ticket even if you ride with someone else. We usually have a van full of 6-7 ppl. That's $35 spent on parking. UNFAIR! Beer is outrageously high. $10. Need a loan to hang out here:(

Pros: music

Cons: unfair parking fee, high beer prices

I went to see the Allman Brothers with Skynyrd last Friday...and it was SUCH as great show! The crowd was a little rowdie, but I guess thats to be expected with Skynyrd on the main stage. Overall, it was a great experience. I encountered friendly staff, great music, and great sound. I will definitely come back to a shows next season at Alltel Pavilion.

Pros: awesome live music, good sight, great sound!

Cons: , rowdy fans, pricey

I've been attending shows the alltel pavilion since it was Hardee's, and have NEVER had a bad experience. Sure, beers are expensive, and ticket prices are insanely expensive once you add parking and fees, but it is great live entertainment and an awesome venue overall! And...it's still less expensive then a pro sport game, and in my opinion...way more fun. So, yes, I will continue to suck it up an pay the price for the live entertainment that I love...

Pros: live music

THe sound system at Alltel is better than most everywhere. This is a proven fact. I read the review left before mine, about high priced beer...don't let a $7 beer effect your view, for crying out loud, your not sitting on your couch watching the Simpsons. Alltel has a good set up, enough said. If you are looking for a good time, check out the Pavilion on a warm summer night. Can't go wrong with that plan.

I saw Pearl Jam play here in April 2003. it is an ok venue. parking is pretty easy. there is usually a lot of tailgating going on. your best bet is to drink a lot in the parking lot b/c once you are inside beer is $7.00 for a Miller Lite. $8.50 for a premium brand. in fact all the concessions are a rip-off. but that is true at every venue nowadays. the Pavilion is an ok place to see a concert. Clear Channel books all the artists here so there really isnt any other options. esp in Raleigh,NC

I have been going to concerts at Alltel Pavillion since they opened. I have many fun memories of concerts seen and new friends made. That was then and this is now. I remember when parking was $3 a car. Now it can be as high as $35 a car, if you have a van that holds alot of people. I remember when you could buy a ticket on the day of the concert and not have to pay $3 extra. I remember when you could sit in the parking lot and cookout and drink a few beers. Now you will get a citation from a police officer. I remember when a beer was $4..now it's $8! What a ripoff! I will never go there again!

Pros: music

Cons: High parking charge, High beer prices, No beer in P. lot

Alltel Pavilion is so fascist/capitalist I can't stand to even think of the place. If you don't have VIP status, they make you wait to be funneled through one gate with maybe four people working it in order to pat you down and search everything you have got. The motivation behind this is that they would hate for you to get any food or drink in as they are salivating at the prospect of extorting it to you once you are inside. A boycott of Nazi Creek is way over due.

Pros: Voluntary attendance

Cons: Over-priced, Tacky, Poorly staffed

I will never go to Walnut Creek again, $7 for a bottle of Sam Adams, give me a break. Tickets are overpriced as well, I would rather take in a show at Cary's Regency Park. We joined the Walnut Creek's 'exclusive' club, supposedly to get advance notice and tickets, etc.... they went belly up with that less than a year after it stared, they sent us an email saying we could get our money back, then when we tried to do just that, each time they would send an email say "are ya sure", and customer "No-Service" will not respond to my request. What a joke. besides the above, the quality of programming is subpar as well. not impressed at all with Walnut Creek and will not give them anymore of my money. My vote goes to the small venues and clubs.

Cons: overpriced, customer service, greed

I have been going to walnut creek every since it opened. I love outdoor concerts. I am appalled that they have added the parking fees in the tickets. I always have a van full of people which now means we pay at least $21 to park. that is $3 per person times 7 people. How fair is that? I also don't appreciate them not allowing open containers in the parking lot. you already have to get a loan to drink inside, the prices are sooo high, now there is toilet paper EVERYWHERE in the woods. No bathrooms anymore. AND, they also charge you extra when you buy your ticket on the day of the concert. GREED GREED GREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: artists, local, fun

Cons: parking added to tic, no outdoor bathroom, xtra $ day of event
