This is a one of a kind course in the Raleigh area. It's great to walk and a challenge to play. If you are looking for a nice course without any frills this is the place for you. The staff in the shop is more than helpful and the pro is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. It's one of the few courses you'll find that doesn't have homes developed on it, so it's just you, the course and your fellow golfers out there.

This is an older course that is basically not kept up with the times. The prices are fairly inexpensive. The pro shop is dirty and they don't offer any food other than old sandwiches from a machine. The course is full of guys who think taking a cooler of beer on a golf course and playing with their tank tops on is the way to go. If you're an experienced player (less than 15 handicap), don't bother with this one. The maintenance is pretty bad, e.g. a little shaggy and the greens are slow. But, if you're a beginning player or a dad who wants to teach his kids the game, this could be alright.
Pros: cheap rates
Cons: poor upkeep, clubhouse was dirty, no food
