Editorial Review for Vinnie's Steakhouse & Tavern – by Laura Rudolph
In Short
A Triangle mainstay with a massive main dining room and multiple private rooms, Vinnie's is a favorite for special occasions. The decor epitomizes traditional steakhouse, with comfortable leather dining chairs, wood paneling and wall-to-wall carpeting. The menu is as eclectic as it is extensive and splits into two categories: steak and chops, and chicken, Italian and seafood.
Appetizers run the gamut from fried South African lobster tail to beer-battered onion rings.

We visited Vinnie's Steakhouse for the first time tonight to celebrate our anniversary. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. The staff were all very friendly. Our server was great - very professional, prompt and friendly. My husband ordered the Prime Rib special. He's very fussy about his Prime Rib - likes the end cut, but it has to be medium - not too well done. He explained this to our server (Ed?) and it arrived just the way he likes it. I had the Veal Parmigiana. It was excellent. Large portions, cooked to perfection with lots of mozzarella cheese! We both had the Caesar Salad and my husband had a baked potato - all very good. The food all came promptly, everything was hot! My husband had the Pecan pie for dessert I had the Key Lime - both delicious. We will definitely be back again and we may even make it an Anniversary tradition! (After all, the dessert was complimentary because we happened to mention our anniversary. ) Also, the bill came in under $100 - pretty good for the wonderful experience and the amount of food we got - had to take half of my dinner home. I would highly recommend Vinnie's to anyone who has not yet been there.
Pros: Excellent service, large portions, good food
Cons: none so far
