Editorial Review for Schianos Pizza – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
New York is full of places like Schianos: little family-run neighborhood joints that sell filling, no-frills pizza and red-sauce pasta dishes. Schianos specializes in thin-crust pies and slices, but they also serve thick, chewy Sicilian pizza, good calzones, subs, burgers, pasta, and even light, heart-healthy subs and salads. Lunch buffet daily.

Schiano's on Strickland Road: I'm not sure what they're doing to their crust, but it is not good. We've ordered pizza from this restaurant 3-5 times since they've opened this store, and it's not the same as the Schiano's on Glenwood. The crust in the center of the pizza was so soggy that you couldn't pick up the pizza, you had to eat it with a fork and knife, and it was not tasty at all. The crust was very thin and cardboard like, there was no cheese around the outside of the pizza, just dumped in the middle. We've given this Schiano's a few tries too many, I'd order somewhere else, like Tony's on Glenwood & Ebenezer, they have very decent NY style pizza. Don't waste your money here.
Pros: Delivery
Cons: Quality of pizza
