Editorial Review for Pullen Park – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Grandparents remember the carved rabbits, tigers, horses and other magical animals at this recreational area's signature circa 1912 carousel. Added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1976, it has since undergone renovations. The park also has a real caboose, boat and train rides and standard playground equipment for kids. The rides aren't as cheap as when Grandma rode them, but a dollar each isn't too bad.

Insider Tips

When to Go

School groups frequent the park on weekdays, so don't expect it to be less crowded than on weekends. Early mornings or late afternoons are quieter.

Great Park! I took my children to this park on a regular basis when they were growing up. I now take my grandchildren! The rides are fun - the boats, the carousel, and the train which is our favorite! It is a nice day out for the family.

Pros: The rides and picnic areas.. The train that circle's the park

Cons: Non

I like taking my niece and nephews here -- the train and carousel are fun for both kids and adults, and there is a lot of shade, so that's especially nice during the hot months.
