The worst part of moving some place new is trying to find a good, honest mechanic. After a few trials and and a few errors, I ended up at Passport Motors in Chapel Hill. I didn't know it right away, but I had found "the one". The people are super friendly (not the fake friendly- but the genuine kind) and their service is 100% dead on and .... THEY DON'T OVER CHARGE YOU!!! What a novel idea, huh? Even though their "specialty" is with VWs, they seemed to know just as much about my Honda Accord. I can't say enough good things about these folks-- they really know what they are doing, don't rip you off and their service is fast and friendly. A rare find!

Passport Motors has been maintaining my wife's 2001 New Beetle for over a year now. While I would not give the car itself a good review, Passport has done an outstanding job troubleshooting and servicing the vehicle whenever trouble arises (often). They are also friendly, honest, and fair. They have performed routine maintenance, fixed faulty sensors, troubleshot belt problems, addressed my brake issues, and so on, with our car. The work has been excellent, and I highly recommend them to anybody, particularly those with a VW.
Pros: Great with VW, Friendly, Honest
Cons: No body work done here
