Called today - and the # was disconnected!!. I wanted to respond to the person posting a review that had a $300 GC and now the Spa is closed with no warning! Luckily I used my $200 GC in Sept but still had $40 or $50 left on it which they said they would hold for the next time. Today I was feeling like a facial and called to find the # was disconnected and they were closed! I cannot believe this - imagine all the folks that had GC out there - they are stealing our money!

Closed With NO Prior Notification. For mother's day 2008 ,my husband purchased a lovely day spa gift certificate worth over $300. My certificate was assigned an official certificate number and my information was recorded by the spa. They did not bother to notify me of their sudden closure, leaving me holding a worthless $300 gift certificate. I am most upset by the fact that this was my first mother's day gift and I was really looking forward to a relaxing day that will never happen. I am not sure of my rights as a gift certificate holder, but I have contacted a lawyer and will pursue this matter based on principle. It is not right to take money for services never rendered. They could have made an effort to contact all gift card holders on record, making sure that they didn't leave a wake of angry customers.

If you experienced anything similar to my situation I would appreciate hearing from you. If you are the former owner or management of this establishment, you will be hearing from me soon. I can't imagine running a business with such disregard for what is right.

Why did they close???. I really have enjoyed being a client of Serenity Day Spa - their hair stylist always did the right shade of red for me and I love their facials and waxing services. However I believe they are closed now and I have no idea where my favorite people have gone to. Does anyone know what happened? I thought they did a strong business. Have do we find the folks that worked there???

Horrible Experience at a so-called spa!. My experience at this spa was appalling. My husband got me an expensive spa package to celebrate the birth of our second child. He was told upon purchase that I would be treated like a queen for a day. Not for a minute!

My "60-minute massage" was a 45-minute sort of "rub-down" experience that my 10-year-old niece could have performed better. I think the masseuse took a week-long training class in massage therapy. She was clearly bored by the whole thing.

The body wrap was even worse, given to me by a woman who didn't have a clue what she was doing. It was cold, claustrophobic, and not the least bit soothing! The experience was neither enjoyable nor relaxing. The woman basically just bounced between me and her other clients. She was actually trying to be nice, but couldn't manage her task.

Overall, the people were not unfriendly, but nothing worked for me. The space was lit with fluorescent lights, there was minimal ambience, the staff seemed unenthusiastic, and the prices were high.

I'd give this place a miss until they make some efforts toward improvement!

A back-to-basics spa setting offers capable service at better-than-competitive prices.. In Short
After checking in, early arrivers wait in a brightly-lit room with hot tea for refreshment, vibrating chairs and an in-process puzzle for amusement. Treatment rooms are where you can unwind. Scented, warm and appropriately lit, each room melts away stress. Patrons here return loyally for treatments. Known for its hot-stone massage, Serenity excels at basic massage treatments--staying away from fads. You can always request the type of product you'd like--something that's suited to your skin's particular needs.

Grossly uneven results!. The stylist was very nice and my hair looked good when I left (from the front). When I washed it later I discovered that I'd been walking around all day with a couple of strands that were several inches longer than the rest in the back! Upon examination in the bathroom mirror I discovered that the back was not even at all! I should also point out that I don't have a very complicated hairstyle--a blunt bob! I was very disappointed at spending $40 for an uneven haircut.

Best Haircut I've ever had!. I have very straight, fine hair which is difficult to cut. This stylist knew just what to do with it! I can't recommend them highly enough.

Well worth it!. My friend and I went to this spa a few months ago and it was excellent! I have not been to many spas, but I will always go back to Serenity. The staff are very friendly and personable. I had a massage that was so relaxing, I was almost afraid to get in my car and drive home. My friend had a spa pedicure and she loved it, as well. The facility is very clean and inviting. I am going back with my Mom for a full day of pampering!
