Fine Sicilian and Mediterranean Cuisine at Ciao! Osteria

  • MOTHER'S DAY LUNCH- May 11
  • Ciao's Full Bar and Lounge
  • Dishes Made Fresh Everyday

Ciao! Osteria is the Triangle's premiere example of Sicilian-Mediterranian cuisine. Housed in a richly decorated 1915 two-story building, Executive Chef Alex Azzam matches the warm ambiance with his introspective translation of traditional Italian themes. We offer an elegant yet casual urban dining experience.

Dine at Ciao! Osteria for delicious Mediterranean accented cuisine. Everything we serve is made fresh everyday from our shrimp limoncello to our crème brûlée Dolci. Our Lunch and Dinner menus were carefully designed by Executive Chef Alex Azzam and reflect his experiences at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, and Pittsburgh. We feature daily specials not available on our menu. The Ciao! Osteria Wine List is an all Italian selection and most are available by the glass.

We ate at the Ciao! last night and had an absolutely fabulous meal. This is our 6th visit and the food has always been cooked with perfection! My favorite is the Mista salad and penne pasta with salmon in white sauce. My husband always has the lamb and devours it as if it's his last meal. Hats off to everyone at Ciao! This restaurant is not only quaint, the staff are friendly, generous and always there to please. There was a delightful gentleman playing guitar as well..very soothing during our meal!

Pros: Fresh, well prepared food, friendly staff, ambiance

I've been twice now, I love the atmosphere of Ciao. Neighborhood restaurant, exposed brick, the old building etc. The consistency of the food needs some improvement. First visit everything was great, pasta was cooked perfectly, fish tasted good, the tiramisu was excellent. Second visit I had pasta (penne I think) with salmon in a cream sauce. The pasta was way overcooked, limp, tasteless. The entire dish was really kind of bland. We had arrived kind of early on a Saturday night, we were the first table seated in fact. So the bottom line is I like the prices, the full bar, the servers, but hope that the next time I go the food will be up to the test.
