For everyone who said the store needed to be bigger, your wish has been granted! Camelot Treasures recently doubled in size by expanding into the store space next door. Now they have even more jewelry, costumes, toys, gifts and all the wonderful things that make this store one of my favorite places in the Triangle. They have Renaissance Faire, Shakespeare, pirate, fairytale, mermaid, medieval, Celtic, costume, gnome, Harry Potter, dragon, and wizard merchandise, with a great selection of gifts for children and adults, including unusual candy, garden statues, chimes, CDs, and handmade wares from local artisans such as pottery and leather goods. And with the expansion, there's a new, larger area for private parties, gaming, music, or other in-store activities. Watch the website for special events - in the past they've had medieval music performances, visits from pirates and Harry Potter nights. I can't wait to do my holiday shopping there, though I suspect I'll end up buying a lot of gifts for myself, too!
