My mother is 77 years old and grew up in Texas and Alabama. She is a lifelong lover of the types of food this exceptional restaurant serves, and when she insisted that we go there as soon as possible so I could experience how great it was, I thought I was prepared for what was bound to be a fantastic taste treat--but it turned out I was NOT completely prepared to be as blown away as I was. From the heavenly aroma inside to the incredibly phenomenal food, BBQ & Ribs Co. is simply a must-visit for anyone with even a passing fancy for barbecue, either vinegar-based or tomato-based. If you can believe it, this place is run by the group that owns Hardee's in this area, the Boddie-Noell Enterprise group in Rocky Mount. Hardee's has really stepped up their game in the last couple of years, but this place is in a league of excellence that few others could ever hope to attain. Both eastern and western BBQ are absolutely brilliant--clean, perfectly textured, and loaded with flavor. Sauces are fantastic, and every side dish I tried was a delight. I didn't have the ribs, but I from what I saw, and for how quickly and completely they were consumed, I'm sure they're also great. The interior is clean and functional, and the service was prompt and competent. But MAN--WHAT barbecue!! Run, don't walk. You'll be a believer after the first bite. Thanks, Boddie-Noell! Please open one in North Raleigh!
Pros: Absolutely amazing barbecue and sides
Cons: Eventually you get so full you can't eat any more
