Editorial Review for Alibi Bar – by Laura Rudolph
In Short
A tiny subterranean hangout in downtown Raleigh, Alibi's exposed brick, pipe-lined rafters, cozy booths and good beer specials combine to make it one of Raleigh's favorite hole-in-the-wall destinations. Not surprisingly, the relaxed atmosphere attracts a diverse crowd of all ages, though the regulars are mostly on the younger side. Most nights a DJ spins but make sure to check out the well-stocked jukebox.

The bar I'd rather be in. I've stopped in and sat next to some college hats and had a grizzly sailor looker on the other side. I keep seeing hot girls hanging out and dancing. Where did all the kick ass bartenders come from?
Pros: hot girls, real music, Djs
Cons: not much

A wonderful escape from the glass and neon of Glenwood. I was crushed when Lizzie's closed but thrilled when Alibi reopened as pretty much the same cool place. Best jukebox in Raleigh if you are an alt rock/indie fan. Cheap cheap cheap.
Pros: Jukebox, Inexpensive, Comfortable
Cons: Needs a bigger crowd
