I paid for a half hour facial service that was recommended incorrectly by the staff at SkinSense (Brier Creek location). I went in for an extraction and had to go back 4 days later because the pimple/acne was still under my skin. I could feel it as I washed my face after the extraction. I called and they asked me to return. When I returned the second time, a Glycolic treatment was applied to the area and burned my skin. I left the Spa with a black burn which completely peeled off days later leaving pink pigmentation against my dark skin. I went back a third time to show management the damage and to request a full refund becuase I was not satisfied with the outcome of the service. I was told that the professionals had no way of knowing how the Glycolic would have reacted to my skin, and that I received the service I asked for. I told them they were the professionals and should have known if the treatment would damage my skin. I received this botched up service in April, and still have a visible blemish on my face because of the incorrect service recommended & provided to me. The Director returned my call to tell me that I would not get a refund, and that the staff recommended the wrong facial to me.. but that I received a service that I asked for. The owner NEVER returned my call. I actually left a tip thinking that the pimple, which was huge, had been removed from my face... only to find that it wasn't extracted properly. I WILL NOT VISIT THIS SPA AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!
Pros: Brier Creek location is convenient.
Cons: Staff does not recommend correct service, parking is bad and the slippers are too big.

I have been to several spa locations in Raleigh and have never experienced such a wonderful service as I did at Skin Sense. I received a gift card from a friend to Skin Sense and didn't know what to expect. I could not believe how calming and comfortable the spa was. The locker room was wonderful with all the amenities one could need. I was immediately relaxed while sitting in the quite room before and after the message. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience. I'll be back!!! I've convinced my mother to come with me next time she is in town.
Pros: Beautiful ambience, relaxing service, knowledgable therapists
