Lime & Basil's co-owner/chef learned to cook from her Vietnamese mother and opened a restaurant purely out of her passion for cooking. Decorated in cool lime green tones, the specialty at this casual restaurant is pho, a traditional soup-like dish of meat and noodles in a slow-cooked broth that's simmered overnight in meat and herbs. Also on the menu: plenty of vermicelli, vegetable and rice dishes.

I have been living in Chapel Hill for more than 6 years. If you expect "nice pho", just drive a little bit to Durham (Kim Son) or further to Raleigh (Pho Cali)

This is a great Vietnamese restaurant in Chapel Hill. We were especially looking for Pho as that is one our favorite lunch dishes, and we finally came across a perfect place for it. The food tasted very fresh. The summer rolls were great, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant felt welcoming. If you are looking for great Vietnamese restaurant and a great bowl of Pho, go to Lime & Basil. You will not be disappointed

Cons: Parking can be limited, can be crowded depending on time
