I am new to the area and recently had to go out of town at which time I began to look for a reputable boarding facility. My veterinarian recommended VIPet Resort. When i arrived at the facility i was pleased with the atmosphere. It was very clean and inviting. I expressed my concerns to the staff about boarding my maltese, Baby (who had not been boarded before). They were extremely reassuring and took me on a tour of the facility. I liked that there were actual suites instead of steel cages that my dog could stay in. I also wanted to get Baby groomed while I was gone which was no problem. I was afraid that I would not be able to pick Baby up by the closing time on the day I arrived back and they assured me that if it was not long after closing the manager would meet me and arrange for an after hours pick up at no charge (which they did when I returned). This really impressed me. In addition, the groomer did an excellent job on Baby and even gave me a 'report card' which told me exactly what had been done including ear cleaning and teeth brushing. All in all it was a great experience. I take Baby for doggie daycare on a regular basis now and she seems to love it.

Pros: cleanliness, accomodating staff, nice atmosphere

Cons: hard to get an appointment last minute

I was a first time customer today and I chose them because they were close to me and they were the one I could book with the soonest. I was quoted $50 or $60 over the phone to have my dog groomed. Even though it was slightly higher then some other quotes I took the appointment because I wanted it done. Nothing was explained to me when I dropped my dog off. I almost forgot about my dog and was late in picking him up. I was very apologenic. The bill was $65 and they charged me $.50 for every minute I was late. My bill was over $70. I could have gotten a mobile groomer to do that. I will never go again. What they did is illegal. You dont win repeat customers by treating first timers this way.

Pros: availability

Cons: costly, inconsiderate, rude
