A previous reviewer struck the nail on the head: on busy nights, this place is hurting for service. My wife and I went to enjoy some live music on a busy Saturday night with several friends. We were assigned two waiters at different times, both of whom must have been way overloaded. But the kicker was that my wife ordered a standard margarita and then their special "Kryptonite Rita" and neither time was there any noticeable trace of alcohol in the drinks. When I spoke with a manager about it (because my waiter was nowhere to be found), I was told of the second drink that the alcohol was "masked" by the flavoring and would be hard to taste. Well, "masking" my skepticism, I told my wife to go ahead and drink it to see if it had any effect. None. Then I approached my long-lost waiter and he said nothing to me but "I'll tell a manager." Fifteen minutes later, a different manager comes to me and gives me the same old "mask" and dance. He then explains that since my wife drank the "masked" drink, tough ____. I raise my voice--not yelling, mind you, but voice definitely raised--in incredulity (disbelief) that they would trick us into drinking the margarita and then tell us to shut up. Does the manager address my concern? No, he tells me to leave the bar, because obviously with one and a half beers (with actual alcohol!) I was a crazy drunk who needed to be tossed. The lesson to managers everywhere? Do: address the customer's concerns, even if it takes an extra drink to do so. Don't: toss the customer and pick up his tab anyway, inspiring him to tell the world how awful the service was there. Oh, and when my sister took up for me after I left, the manager basically conceded the point that there was no alcohol in the drinks. Want to get stiffed? Go to Bailey's, where it's the special of the day, every day. And, uh, the food wasn't so terrible, I guess. Kudos to the kitchen staff there!

Pros: They'll pick up the tab...

Cons: ...after they toss you out into the streets.

I agree with everything choppercharles said except for the fact that he pretty much stereotyped hip-hop music and associated it with "thugs" and what the clientel base would be because of it. I suggest that he get out of his hole and introduce himself to whats going on in the world today ( More of your young "white collar" college kids are listening to that "thug" music, which is why it is played to keep the younger clientel coming) By the way Mr. chopper...the change in music is probably to keep the younger crowd in there black or white and the older bar squatting CHOPPER enthusiast out there that bring the quality of the pub and grille's young and hip atmosphere down.
