The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

BEST BISCUITS IN FAST FOOD, REAL OLD SOUTHERN BISCUITS COOKED FRESH DAILY, and they will make your sandwhich how you like it if you ask. Try the biscuits and gravy if you dare. Good flavor.

Okay, I mean, America is unhealthy as it is. Don't get me wrong, those thickburgers are awesome, and the shakes too, but there are way too many other, local-chain restaraunts to choose from. Panera Bread for instance, for breakfast. Carolina Aile House.
Pros: Fast, efficient service, on the go.
Cons: Regular, plain
