Editorial Review for The Piper's Tavern – by Neha Shah

In Short
While the name suggests this bar is a dark Irish pub, it's actually a bright, friendly hangout where sports fans gather and karaoke lovers can indulge their vocal chords. The decor is basic, graciously devoid of too much sports memorabilia--and the comfortable neighborhood atmosphere attracts a casual crowd. Weekends are dedicated to live music.

Insider Tips

On The Menu

The tavern serves usual pub fare like nachos and Buffalo wings, but a few tasty alternatives round out the options. The specialty pizzas or blackened shrimp are particularly good options.

Where to Sit

Seating depends on your mood--the bar is far enough away from the dining area, yet there's another section that's ideal for a raucous group during football nights.

I love the coziness of this place. The outdoor seating is great, even though all the tables are all together it still has a private feel to it, that is always nice. The staff are very nice and friendly. Its a very fun and relaxing place to go. We went on a saturday night and were seated promptly and our service was very fast, we were very pleased with that.

Pros: The outdoor seating, and very friendly staff

The breakfast is the best I have ever had on Sunday. Fried chicken, sausage ,grits, gravy, eggs fresh cut ham, very excellent. They also have a few attractive women working there! I've only been there for the Sunday Brunch so that is the limit of my review, and it was great stuff.
