I wanted to share a surprisingly disappointing experience with Dr. Elvira Chiritescu of New Age Dermatology in Apex. I have been seeing her for years (unfortunately for me), and never had any specific problems and just needed check-ups, although I found her thorough and seemingly professional. A couple of weeks ago, I happened to go for the first time for an issue I was having. After a 75 minute wait, in the 5 minutes she spared me, she completely misdiagnosed my case, with extreme confidence no less, despite my clear explanation on my symptoms, put me on antibiotics where there was no infection, and when I called back in a couple of days complaining how the pain had not only gotten better but worse, she told me to *continue* her (wrong) treatment, and give it a few more days, AND if things do not get better, to then go to urgent care or call my physician!!!!! Thankfully I did not listen to her advice, followed my instincts and visited my physician immediately, was correctly diagnosed and treated, although her misdiagnosis delayed what would have been a more effective treatment. I called her office a few days ago to share my experience, and not only did *no one* of the staff offer an ounce of advice or apology, the doctor/nurse never returned my message. No one seems to afford either medical experience or bed side manners in that office. Stay far and away !
Pros: NONE whatsoever!!!!!!
Cons: her poor medical experience, horrific wait time, misdiagnosis, and no bed side manners

Even with an early morning appointment I have wasted so much time in the waiting room and in the exam room time and time again I seriously considered sending the doctor a bill this time. This is not an isolated occurence and mirrors what another poster has stated. If you think the airlines are bad with overbooking.... Go elsewhere.
Pros: none
Cons: wait time, not satisfied with quality of surgical procedures (significant scarring)
