The American Tobacco Trail provides a partially paved place to ride bikes, roller blade or just take a walk. It follows a path of old railroad tracks that once brought tobacco to Durham's American Tobacco Warehouse, hence the name. Mile markers will look a lot like the original railroad markers. Unpaved trails, most of which were spun off by bikers looking for adventure, run in all different directions off the main trail.
