Outside: A one-story cinderblock house made elegant with a lovely French garden out front. Tucked back from the road on Franklin Street, Verdigris shares its wooded nook with Cafe Driade, Chapel Hill's classy patio wine/coffee bar. Inside is a multi-roomed affair with low tin ceilings, painted wood placard walls and tiled floors. Everything for the house and garden, but usually not more than one example of each item--this is a one-of-a-kind place where old is often paired with new.
