There are some in the Triangle who believe the Duke Coffeehouse is actually a secret engineering school design that maximizes and concentrates concertgoers' body heat. Maybe that explains why even sparsely attended shows in the dead of winter can still bring beads of sweat to one's brow. Other than the crazy heat, this spacious venue is a great place to toss back some Java or catch a rock/alt./punk/country/jazz/hip-hop/reggae/ska/avant-garde show. It's also B.Y.O.B.
